Why Wedding Planning? As a planner by nature, wedding planning allows me to use my talents in an area that gives me great joy. Additionally, I get to share my knowledge and connections in St John with my clients to help fulfill their wedding dreams.

Being part of a wedding is an honor that forever stimulates me. My couples become friends for life, return for vow renewals, refer me to their friends and families and send me lots and lots of baby photos.

My love of St John and years of business experience here allow me to assist my couples in creating a celebration that reflects who they are- One of my first questions to brides is “describe to me your vision of your wedding day?” Every woman has a vision whether they know it or not- So my mission is to translate that vision into a real event.

I am happy to perform a private, romantic ceremony for just the two of you, or if you are dreaming of a bringing friends and family, I offer complete wedding planning services.

Weddings have become expensive and very stressful - leaving the couple exhausted and not able to enjoy their day. Just being here in the islands, breathing in the fresh ocean air and feeling the sand between your toes, you have to be more relaxed.

Waving good-bye to our lives in Seattle- my husband, dog, and I packed up and moved to beautiful St. John for an opportunity and adventure of a lifetime! Design has always been a passion of mine – working as an interior designer in Seattle as well as planning weddings before moving. Designing residential custom homes from the initial foundation phase all the way to window treatments, door knobs, paint colors, etc. has been my background as an interior designer. I love details and working with clients to assure their home is a place that reflects their personality and lifestyle makes my heart sing! Planning destination weddings with Mary has been a perfect fit for me…all the details that go into planning a wedding can be so overwhelming for newly engaged couples. Being able to use my experience in detail planning and my passion for design has been a dream. After singing for many weddings in Seattle, I began planning weddings on the side which also helped with the smooth transition to Island Style Weddings. I’m so lucky to be able to say I really am ‘Living The Dream’! What better place is there to tie the knot than Love City…I always enjoy being able to help make couples’ dreams come true for their wedding day.

St. John’s beauty will never grow old – hiking with our boxer, snorkeling, and singing fills most of my free time. St. John has also been teaching us how to slow down and enjoy life – we are savoring every moment living on this breathtaking island! Being able to plan weddings and meet such lovely couples from around the world is really the cherry on top to my life here on St. John!
