Fall Colors with a Caribbean Flair!
[slideshow link="file" columns="1"]Beth and I met through last November 2010. She was visiting the island with her Mom and was searching for the perfect venue for her wedding. On an initial consultation, I like to get a feel for my brides, their styles and their vision.
Beth had a clear idea of how she wanted her wedding. I took Beth and her mom, Linda to tour Caneel Bay Resort. She fell in love with Turtle Bay Point as her ceremony site. This beautiful location is a grassy knoll with water on three sides. It provides the feeling of an island setting without being on a beach.
For their reception both she and Sean wanted a celebration with mixing and mingling vs the formality of a sit down dinner. I felt that Caneel Bay Resort's Veranda was the perfect spot to host their reception. They chose a variety of stations where guests could graze throughout the evening.
As Beth's wedding was in November, she wanted to celebrate the fall but incorporate the festive colors of the Caribbean. Her choice of bride's maids dresses was a flirty coral that easily can be worn many times again. Her flowers designed Roses Too were bursting with colors and added to the fall/ Caribbean theme.
Family and friends came from all over to join in the many days of celebrations leading up to their wedding.
One of the nicest part of a destination wedding is that the bride and groom get to spend quality time with their guests in the days prior to the wedding.
Congratulations Beth and Sean, we wish you many happy years together and many return trips to St John!
