A Family Wedding, Island Style

A St John US Virgin Islands destination wedding  One of the benefits of a destination wedding is quality time spent with those that are dearest to you.   Your guests have an opportunity to get to know each other, share a vacation, family reunion and your wedding day. The prefect recipe for fun!

Erika and Nick who were recently married on Trunk Bay, St John US Virgin Islands wanted a wedding that was stress free and reflective of their personalities.  .  The bridal party included even the littlest family members.  The ring bearer and flower girl, Erika’s niece and nephew warmed our hearts as they provided some comic relief during the processional.

Erika and Nick chose to host their wedding celebration at Rhumblines restaurant’s courtyard.  The restaurant is a combination of East- West Caribbean decor in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.  The owner chefs, Jerome and Scott bring their love of the Far East to their cuisine with yummy entrees like Rhumblines Pad Thai, coconut shrimp, tofu lemongrass cakes all served with exotic dipping sauces.

The restaurant is similar to walking into a Pier One store, with a St John, Island Style twist.  An eclectic combination of bamboo, bar swings, tropical plants, romantic lighting the decor Rhumblines’ courtyard  offers a great option for smaller groups.

Leah and I were excited to add a little glitz and glam from our decor collection to the quirky and fun atmosphere. Our chandeliers, gold sequined runner, bamboo chargers and crystal tea lights added a personalized touch to their celebration.
