A Family Affair, Island Style

[slideshow] What better way to gather a family that resides in Europe, New Zealand and the mainland of US, then to plan a wedding in the Caribbean!  Renee and Michael's ideal wedding was truly a family affair.  They chose Villa La Susa in Peter Bay, St John to share with their combined families.  Villas are a great way to have some family bonding time but still provide the privacy for everyone.  This 5 or 6 bedroom villa is one of my favorite's as my daughter Sabrina was married to Casey there 7 yrs ago.

They chose Trunk Bay for their ceremony location.  It is a short 5 min drive from the villa to Trunk Bay.  After the ceremony the guests were treated to a  gourmet dinner prepared by Ted Robinson of Ted's Supper Club ( formerly chef  of St John's renowned Tage restaurant).

Diane Bryan of Roses too created a hand tied bouquet of gloriosa lilies for Renee. Centerpieces of ginger, bird of paradise, anthuriums, cymbidium orchids and lilies graced the table.

Renee's style is showcased on the beautifully designed imperial table with ivory table cloth and napkins, blue, green and brown menu cards.

Island Style Weddings provided the wedding co ordination and ambiance touches to an already spectacular setting.

The photos by Alain Brin of Blueglass Photography speak for themselves,

Congratulations Renee and Michael, it was my honor to be part your family celebration!
