Alandha and Aaron's Caneel Bay Wedding

One of the most rewarding aspects of designing a destination wedding, is to assist our couples in creating celebratory events that reflects their style and personality.

Enter our bride Alandha, YouTube Global Brand Marketing Manager.  This busy lady brought her keen eye and very specific ideas of her wedding would be like.  Alandha strong sense of style challenged me v a marketing pro

Initially Alandha wanted to host her ceremony at Sirenusa around 3PM in June.  The villas at Sirenusa were perfect for her wedding guests and the terrace worked great for the evening welcome party.

The proposed ceremony site was the terrace at Sirenusa.  The 3PM sunlight in June on a concrete patio had me anticipating unhappy, sweaty guests, frustrated, restless and unable to focus on the wedding ceremony.   We worked on a variety of variations for the ceremony site but nothing was working the way we envisioned it.

We mutually agreed that the verandah at Caneel Bay Resort  would be perfect for the time of day and the ambiance they were desiring.   Immediately after the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the lawn at Caneel Bay

The reception was held at Zozo’s the restaurant at Caneel Bay Resort.  Located in an old sugar mill, Zozo's is famous for great food and service with a drop dead gorgeous sunset to complete the look.

DJ Top Notch Ian Samuel was the perfect choice for Aaron and Alandha’s eclectic music selection.  Acknowledging Alandha’s Haitian roots, the group dances to a wide selection of Caribbean music, R&B, rap and dance hall.
