from bicycles to love

Wishing Amy and Mike a big congrats as they enjoy their last couple days of honeymooning here on St. John! Amy and Mike were truly as sweet and beautiful on the inside as their gorgeous smiles showed on the outside!

Their love of bike riding soon grew into a love for each other! Many years, and hundreds of miles of pedaling later they said I Do at sunset on Trunk Bay...just how they envisioned.

We just love it when our couples find ways add personal touches to their wedding decor. Since Amy and Mike met on a 24 hour bike's safe to say they both have a strong passion and talent for bike riding! Roses Too was able to add whimsical flower bouquets to this adorable iron bicycle they brought down with them. It was such a cute added detail to their lovely intimate ceremony in the sand.

The guests were greeted with passed pupus and rum punch at Rhumb Lines for their festive wedding reception. A beautiful candle lit table with bistro bulbs set under the stars set the tone for a romantic gathering for Amy and Mikes family and friends. Greg and Craig entertained the guests' ears on guitar and keyboard while Rhumb Lines kept their mouths alive with their flavorful Thai-inspired menu.

The rustic bicycles on the table were a nice touch to carry the theme throughout the night. I loved all the layers of texture on the table with the rattan chargers, natural woven runners and iron bicycles interspersed between candles and blooms of orange and coral. Alain from Blue Glass Photography captured the ambiance of the night so beautifully!

After a few dances under the stars, the newlyweds took a break to cut the cake that was topped with the cutest cake topper I've ever seen! A bride and groom on a bike holding perfect - It was a wedding gift from a friend of theirs! It was a wonderful night, that we were so happy to be a part of.
