Last week Alain Brin of Blueglass Photography and I met up with Teri Gibney owner of Gibney Beach Cottages. The Gibney beach area was hit very hard by both Irma and Maria. The rich foliage was stripped to nothing. Ages old fruit, cashew, avocado, mahogany and palm trees were ripped from their roots. Amazingly the cottages were spared. However the clearing of debris on the beautiful grounds was a huge effort. The Gibney Family has an interesting history with St John having raised three generations on this beautiful stretch of beach.
We are happy to announce that the extensive foliage is coming back stronger than ever. Gibney Beach Cottages welcomed their first guests post Irmaria earlier this month. If you are looking for a charming honeymoon cottage on the beach this could be the perfect spot for you.
